Update: Treatment of COVID and Long Haulers

Daily, we receive calls from people who either are suffering from COVID, just tested positive, or just came down with symptoms. Many are from persons suffering from the after-effects of COVID (called long haulers). Most are referred by other clients and by word-of-mouth. Many are weekend calls that we respond to within a short time of receiving the calls. Why. Because we know the importance of timeliness.

Upon receiving a call, our physician, Dr. Joseph Feste, will call the person and discusses their symptoms. He obtains a health history and can quickly start the person on our Protocol for the treatment of COVID. He then follows their progress until fully recovered.

Quick response. This is important because we want to help the client avoid hospitalization and want to prevent and/or reduce the severity of symptoms. Our goal is also to strengthen the immune system and reduce inflammation.

Recovery from COVID? The Challenge and The Facts About After-Effects

Treatment is available for long haulers. I would first like to say that it is possible to help long haulers recover from symptoms associated with the after-effects of COVID. From all of the scary information provided below, it would seem somewhat hopeless. While there are no guarantees (as with most treatments), we offer hope based on our proven clinical results. See recent client statements below.

Long Hauler Facts:

  • “Nearly one half of people who are hospitalized with COVID-19 suffer at least one lingering symptom one year after discharge, according to the largest study yet to assess the dynamic recovery of a group of COVID-19 survivors 12 months after the illness ….

  • Symptoms such as persistent fatigue, breathlessness, brain fog, and depression could debilitate many millions of people globally….

  • The most common lingering symptoms are fatigue and muscle weakness. One third continue to have shortness of breath.

  • Long COVID is a modern medical challenge of the first order."

*Study published in the Lancet, August 26, 2021.

Other long term symptoms: Overall, at 12 months, COVID-19 survivors had more problems with mobility, pain or discomfort, and anxiety or depression, and had lower self-assessment scores of quality of life than matched COVID-free peers, the investigators report. Recent Statements from Clients “treated” by Dr. Joseph Feste.

Dear Dr. Feste,

I would like to thank you for your help in treating my Long Haulers.

I contracted COVID in December 2020. I qualified and received the Regeneron Infusion because of Stage 2 chronic renal disease. After the treatment the COVID symptoms were gone, and the kidney protein was normal. However, I had Long Haulers. Chronic Fatigue, Cognitive problems, severe muscle and joint pain. I could not work. It was so bad that I had problems doing the simplest of tasks such as washing my hair or putting dishes in the dishwasher. I was taking two to three naps per day. Each nap going from one to three hours at a time even with all the supplements. I was contemplating disability. I was so desperate for relief, I took your advice and received exosomes and glutathione. Not really expecting much to happen, but was so desperate for some sort of relief, I would have tried anything.

The next day I felt better. I was so shocked that I had to take inventory of myself. Wait, are my joints really not aching? Let me check, no muscle pain, I had energy and back to work the next day. My memory is much better, and I feel great.

My friends said, "Well, this might be a placebo effect. See what happens after two weeks." It has been five months now and I am still feeling great and working.

I feel as if I have my life back. It feels wonderful to laugh again. Thank you, GV

My experience getting the Covid Vaccine was everything but routine. I received my 1st vaccine (Pfizer) on April 1, 2021. It was pretty standard. I suffered no symptoms other than a little fatigue and soreness at the injection site. As advised, I took my 2nd (Pfizer) vaccine a month later, on May 8, 021. Unfortunately, the side effects this time hit me harder, actually a lot harder.

I immediately became extremely fatigued, which is very unusual for me. Along with the fatigue, I felt like I wasn't able to concentrate, had brain fog, and felt as if I was off balance.

The symptoms persisted so I made an appointment with my family doctor. He suggested it could be side effects from the vaccine and I should get better in a few days. He sent me home with prescriptions including an antibiotic. After finishing up my first dose of meds, I returned not feeling any better, just worse. Extreme fatigue (no energy to even work) and brain fog. I difficulty concentrating and I would quickly lose my train of thought when I tried to talk to anyone. My doctor gave me yet another round of antibiotics. This gave me no relief and I just continued to get worse.

I finally reached out to Seeking Perfect Health. With their recommendation, I was given a dose of their Nasal treatment and an Immune Boost IV. This instantly made me feel better. Within two days, I was back in action. I was able to travel with my wife that weekend. I had already planned on cancelling the trip due to my ongoing symptoms.

I am very thankful for the treatment at Seeking Perfect Health. I feel I would have continued to worsen without their treatment. If you have any after-effects from a vaccine or the COVID virus, I strongly recommend you call Seeking Perfect Health. They know how to treat and help prevent these concerns. J.P.

I have been on an oxygen tank since suffering from COVID. Nothing seemed to work to help me, and my oxygen capacity was very low. My mom was being treated for bioidentical hormones at Seeking Perfect Health and recommended I visit them. I was treated by Dr. Feste on a Tuesday. On Friday, I did not need my oxygen. I put aside my oxygen tank. I expect this to continue but I am very grateful for the staff at Seeking Perfect Health and Dr. Feste. A.E.

'Long Haul' COVID Recovery Worse Than Cancer Rehab for Some: CDC

“People experiencing ongoing or "long-haul" symptoms after COVID-19 illness were more likely to report pain, challenges with physical activities, and "substantially worse health compared with people needing rehabilitation because of cancer”, lead author Jessica Rogers-Brown, PhD, and colleagues report.

The study was published online today in Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR). Damian McNamara, July 08, 2021

“From the very beginning, patients have reported significant difficulties with physical ability, endurance, and daily function…. Unfortunately, these functional deficits were often overlooked with the presence of other symptoms such as shortness of breath and fever…" Mayo Clinic

Not a ripple: ‘This is a tsunami’

Long-haul illnesses carry an untold economic cost.

David Robinson

The seemingly endless COVID-19 illness gripping Ronald Gaca offers him little hope of ever returning to the workforce, let alone the road construction job that supported his family.

Since his infection in March 2020, the 59-year-old New Yorker’s chronic fatigue and breathing struggles have kept him mostly homebound. His hand tremors can last hours, raising concerns about a rare COVID-19 symptom, or Parkinson’s disease.

The uncertainty prompted Gaca to file for federal disability benefits, part of the first wave of Americans eligible to apply because they have suffered COVID-19 symptoms for at least a year. The disability fight ahead is only part of the massive web of financial struggles facing the millions of Americans suffering from COVID-19 symptoms that could last months, even a lifetime.

The USA TODAY Network interviewed dozens of long-haul COVID-19 patients, medical professionals and economic experts, who talked of the daily economic woes and long-term financial ramifications of a disease that, in many ways, remains a mystery.
