Diet Plans

How do I know what is the best diet plan for Me?

Lots of options: HCG, Mediterranean, Low Carb, Low Fat, Intermittent Fasting, Paleo,
Keto, ProLon, Vegan vs. Carnivore, ……. Each can work for some people, but this does not tell you want works for you.

How do you know what is best for you? We recommend the following to help determine what diet plan will work best for you.

  1. Test your DNA. Our professional NutriGen™ DNA Personalized Diet,

Wellness, and Weight-loss test, takes much of the guess work out of why you may struggle with your weight. (click here for DNA page).  It includes what foods to eat, what foods not to eat, what portions of fat, protein, and carbohydrates are best for you, what supplements are needed, what exercise is best for you, what intolerances do you have (e.g., lactose), and more.

Our DNA trained staff will meet with you to discuss your DNA results in detail. We will combine your DNA with other testing (see 2 below), your health history, your health status, your goals, and your present lifestyle, to recommend the best program for you.

2.  Lab tests to determine the health of your mitochondria, the level of your fasting insulin, glucose management, testosterone levels, thyroid panel, ferritin, inflammation, progesterone for women, estradiol, pre-diabetes and diabetes, and metabolic risk factors. Each of these tests provides critical information about your weight loss struggles. For example, thyroid affects our metabolism. Mitochondria determines how much energy you have (95% of the body’s energy is supplied by the Mitochondria). Insulin is a key to weight loss as it is a fat storage hormone and increases inflammation when not in a healthy state.

So why do so many weight loss or weight maintenance programs ultimately fail?  They offer answers before having the necessary information to determine what might work best for you.

Would you trust your automobile to a mechanic who does not run any diagnostic test? Would you start a hormone program without testing your hormones?

Yes, as for weight loss, millions start diet programs without any of the information recommended above. They succumb to the magic call for easy weight loss. In many instances, these programs do not even have basic information on an individual’s percent fat. Unfortunately, they not only do not measure % body fat, but it is not monitored to ensure a person is losing fat and not muscle. Loss of muscle looks impressive in the short run but lowers basal metabolic rates.

Ok. What is the best diet for me? You will know this answer after the above information is obtained by our professional staff. It will then be up to you to make a choice to move forward with this knowledge and with the recommendation that will be offered after testing and consultation. The good news is no more guessing!
